Modular construction is building a home in
separate sections (or modules) within the controlled environment
of a factory. They are built in programmed stages from flooring
to finished product. Floor treatments, framing, insulation,
drywall, roofing, windows, siding, cabinetry, plumbing and
lighting fixtures are all installed and completed by skilled
craftsmen utilizing state-of-the-art production technology.
The home is the shipped 90% complete to the building site
where it is assembled on a foundation. Generally only minimal
site construction is required.
Manufactured homes, sometimes referred to
as mobile homes or double wides, are constructed to a different
building code. They are built to Housing and Urban Development
(HUD) codes. Unlike conventional building codes, the manufactured
houses are required to be built on a non-removable steel
chassis. Our modular homes are built to the same building
code required by the federal, state and local agencies,
and therefore are NOT restricted by building and/or zoning
regulations.
- NO cost overruns on the home or it's components
from the manufacturer. Modular homes typically cost between
10 - 15% less than onsite construction.
- Overall building time is reduced - much
of your sitework can be completed while the home is being
built at the manufacturing plant.
- On-time delivery to your site
- Superior quality control including in-house
inspections as well as outside 3rd party inspections
- Constructed to meet or exceed Federal,
State, and Local building codes
- Homes are built by a highly skilled workforce
with years of homebuilding experience performing standardized
procedures with factory grade equipment.
- Home are built with name-brand materials
like Armstrong, Delta, Certainteed, Owens Corning, General
Electric, and more
- Environmentally conscious, highly engineered
materials used in construction are stored inside and are
not exposed to weather or vandalism
Modular homes typically cost between 10 -
15% less than onsite construction. This is because:
- There is less wasted material, so lumber
costs are lower.
- There are never any cost overruns.
- Overall building time is reduced, since
much of your sitework can be completed while the home
is being built at the manufacturing plant.
Once we have a building permit in hand, and
the financing is secured, the average delivery time is 8
to 10 weeks, depending on the time of year and our factory
building schedule. Once your home has been delivered to
your site, it only takes a couple of days to assemble it
on the foundation and make it weather tight. After being
set on your foundation, the interior and exterior finish
sitework typically take between 8 to 12 weeks, depending
on the house's complexity. This includes connecting of all
the utilities to the home.
Absolutely. Our modular building system technology
allows us to build virtually any style of house. Our design
team will make sure that the design can be adapted to the
modular building system and is structurally compliant. |
